Brandon Nagle has stepped down as the Clovis East head coach, but he’s not going anywhere.

Nagle made his decision last week, but said he hopes to stay with the team as the coordinator “if it all works out.”

He cited his reason for stepping down to spend more time with his family.

Nagle took over as the head coach at Clovis East in December 2021.

In four seasons, Nagle went 31-14, including 5-0 in the Tri-River Athletic Conference this past season.

He led the Timberwolves to a Central Section championship appearance, led by The Fresno Bee Player of the Year Tyus Miller.

Nagle is the second Clovis Unified football coach to step down within a week.

Mike Jacot resigned last week as the Clovis North head coach.
