The Reedley Police Department has identified two of the three victims found dead in the backyard of a home Saturday morning.

Police Chief Jose Garza in an update Monday said 81-year-old Billy Bonds of Reedley and 44-year-old Guadalupe Bonds were found killed in the backyard in what police have called a possible break-in at the home.

A third victim was later found, also in the backyard. Police haven’t identified the third victim.

The discovery was made at 9 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of South Church Avenue after family members arrived and noticed a break-in had occurred.

Officers arrived and “found signs of what appeared to be forced entry into the residence,” Garza said.

Garza said foul play was involved on both victims. Garza hasn’t released the causes of death, pending an autopsy on Thursday.

He said weapons were involved, specifically guns.

Police haven’t identified any suspects, but are looking for 43-year-old Matthew Bonds, who is believed to be at-risk because of known health issues, Garza said. He also lived at the home, police said.

His current whereabouts remain unknown.

Garza said officers initially were investigating burglary at the home. Officers were searching the home and in the backyard and noticed a tarp and located the first two victims.

Garza said a safe was found that previously had firearms inside but it was empty. Police haven’t ruled out that money was also in the safe.
