UPDATE: Final victim of Reedley quadruple homicide identified. All were killed violently, police say

Police identified the fourth person Wednesday found dead this week near a home in Reedley that ended in the arrest of a 17-year-old accused of their killings.

The fourth victim was found Tuesday, three days after the discovery of three other bodies, and was identified as Matthew Bond, the 43-year-old man police had been looking for, Chief Jose Garza said in an update Wednesday.

Matthew Bond was the grandson of Billy Bonds, 81, and husband of Guadalupe Bonds, 44, who were two of the three bodies found Saturday in the 1100 block of South Church Avenue, which is south of Dinuba Avenue.

The third victim, a man, found in the first home has not been named, and Garza said Wednesday police were working to confirm his name.

Police said Tuesday evening they had arrested a 17-year-old in connection to the quadruple homicide in Reedley. The teen was booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center and could face four counts of homicide, according to the Reedley Police Department.

Garza announced a news conference at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reedley City Hall on the latest developments in the investigation, according to a news release.

The teen’s mother, Brynn Curtis, 34, and her boyfriend, Rafael Gonzalez, 21, were also arrested and accused of Tuesday accessory after the fact by police.

Three people were found dead on Saturday on Church Avenue before Matthew Bond was found in the backyard of the home next door on Tuesday, Garza said.

Police said they had been called in response to a possible break-in at the home on Saturday, and while in the backyard noticed a tarp before discovering the first two victims.

Anyone with information is asked by police to call Reedley police at 559-637-4250 or two tip lines at 559-356-8690 (English) or 559-246-4183 (Spanish).
