A violent weekend in Fresno ended Sunday night with one person shot in front of an apartment complex on the southeast side of town.

The violence was the fourth reported shooting in two days.

Lt. Steve Card said officers received a shot spotter alert around 9 p.m. reporting several shots fired in the 5000 block of East Lane Avenue. Officers arrived and found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition. The victim told officers that he was walking down the street when he was shot.

Card said investigators couldn’t comment on many details but said police believe the incident may have been gang-related.

This is the fourth shooting to take place in Fresno this weekend. Three separate shootings took place on Saturday one at a wedding at the 2600 block of South Marks Avenue, another involving a 19-year-old woman shot multiple times in Central Fresno and a gun battle in Southwest Fresno.
