Sheriff’s office investigates shooting in central Fresno — at least one injured

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in central Fresno on Saturday night that hurt a young woman.

She was shot multiple in the 3500 block of E. Clinton Avenue around 9:15 p.m., according Lt. Frances Devins. On Sunday morning, the sheriff’s office confirmed the 19-year-old woman was in sable condition.

Deputies are still searching for the suspect. Sheriff spokeswoman Tony Botti said detectives are investigating the possibility that the woman was shot during a house party publicized on social media.

Other details were not immediately available.

Earlier Saturday night, about five miles away, another shooting sent a man to the hospital.
