Madera men identified as victims killed in solo-vehicle crash on Highway 145 near 41
The Madera County sheriff and coroner Monday identified the men killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 145 near Highway 41 on Friday as Abraham Alvarez, 23, and Jose Luis Alvarez, 25.
Both were from Madera.
The crash took place about 6:40 p.m. as the driver was westbound on 145 when the vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder and he lost control. The vehicle overturned and both men were thrown to the roadway. They died at the scene.
Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt, according to the California Highway Patrol.
