Two Madera men were killed in a solo vehicle collision on Highway 145 Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. at Highway 145 just west of Highway 41, Sgt. Tatanka Mafana said.

The two men were traveling west on Highway 145 when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle drifted onto the right shoulder. The driver then lost control and overturned the vehicle, ejecting both men.

Both men, believed to be in their mid 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

CHP investigators do not know if drugs or alcohol were factors.
