North Fresno Raising Cane’s chicken restaurant sets new opening date
The highly anticipated Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant in north Fresno has set a new opening date.
Originally, it had planned to open last week.
That didn’t happen, but the company confirmed it will open next week, Tuesday, March 8.
The restaurant is on the southwest corner of Blackstone and El Paso avenues, on the site of the former Logan’s Roadhouse, which was torn down.
The restaurant opens at 9 a.m.
A ribbon cutting celebration is in the works, though the company has not shared what time yet. We will update this story as soon as the information is available.
If it’s anything like the Clovis opening in October, there will be a lot of hoopla. At that event, people lined up at midnight the night before, in part for free food giveaways.
The restaurant specializes in one type of food: chicken fingers. You can get meals that come with two, three, four or six chicken fingers. All come with french fries, Texas toast and coleslaw.
If the Fresno locations is anything like the Clovis location, its drive-thru will be packed. The restaurant uses employees to take orders carside and deliver the food so not every car has to use the takeout window.
Another Raising Cane’s is slated to open in southeast Fresno, in the Kings Canyon Pavilion shopping center at East Kings Canyon Road and South Willow Avenue.
More locations are open in Tulare, Hanford, and Visalia.
