The first Raising Cane’s restaurant in Fresno sets opening date. Here’s what we know
Update: Raising Cane’s has pushed back its opening date to March 8. See our full story here.
The first Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Fresno is almost here.
The location on North Blackstone Avenue at El Paso Avenue on the site of the former Logan’s Roadhouse has been under construction for months. Now it’s set an opening date: Feb. 28.
The date is listed on its website as the restaurant’s “birthdate,” and a Raising Cane’s representative confirmed that is the planned opening date.
It’s possible that unforeseen circumstances could change that date, he said, but we’ll update you if it does.
If it’s anything like the Clovis opening in October, there will be a lot of hoopla. At that event, people lined up at midnight the night before, and the restaurant opened after an 8 a.m. ribbon cutting.
The restaurant specializes in one thing: Chicken fingers. It has a drive-thru and an indoor eating area. If it’s anything like the other locations, it could attract lines.
Raising Cane’s openings, locations
Another Raising Cane’s is slated to open, along with a Dutch Bros Coffee, in southeast Fresno, in the Kings Canyon Pavilion shopping center at East Kings Canyon Road and South Willow Avenue.
Raising Cane’s, which making a big push into the area, also has locations open in Tulare, Hanford, and Visalia.
