High school football: Major shakeup in The Fresno Bee rankings with new No. 1 team
Clovis East is the new top-ranked high school football team by The Fresno Bee.
The Timberwolves made quick work of Sanger 56-3 at Tom Flores Stadium.
Clovis East has been impressive early in the season after wins at West-Salt Lake City 24-21 and rolled past Kingsburg 55-7.
The Timberwolves moved up one spot after Clovis North lost to JSerra-San Juan Capistrano 35-6 in a rematch.
The Broncos faced a team they beat last season, but JSerra got the upper-hand this time around.
Clovis North will look to rebound against Central Valley Christian.
The top 10 has a new look to it.
Clovis is now No. 2, followed by Clovis North, Central, Liberty-Bakersfield, Hanford, Lemoore, Clovis West, Tulare Union and Bakersfield.
Entering this week’s rankings is Golden West at No. 24 and San Joaquin Memorial at No. 25.
The Trailblazers have looked impressive the past two weeks and took out previously ranked Mission Oak in convincing fashion.
San Joaquin Memorial defeated Castaic, 21-10.
