Clovis North, ranked No. 7 in The Bee’s Top 25, beat No. 3 Central 35-28 to turn the final Tri-River Athletic Conference standings on end.
Thursday, Sunnyside rolled to a 57-14 victory over Sanger West to clinch an outright North Yosemite League title.
Wildcats quarterback Tanner Wilson broke the single-season passing yards record with 3,459 yards, passing former Central star Trent Tompkins, who previously had the record with 3,438 yards that was set in 2018, according to section historian Bob Barnett.
