The Bee’s Top 25 high school football rankings: New No. 1 just start of many changes

There has been plenty of change in The Fresno Bee’s Top 25 rankings all season.

Following Week 10, it’s more pronounced after Clovis West’s 45-0 loss to Central and Buchanan’s loss to Clovis North.

That means The Bee’s rankings have a new No. 1 team in Liberty-Bakersfield. The Patriots moved up one spot following their win over Frontier.

San Joaquin Memorial moved up two spots to No. 2.

Central jumped three spots to No. 3 after its impressive win.

Clovis West and Buchanan dropped to No. 8 and No. 10, respectively.

Clovis North jumped five spots to No. 7 after defeating the Bears.

This is the final week of the regular season before the playoff pairings are announced on Saturday. The seedings will be based off several criteria with Calpreps’ rankings the starting point.
