Matt Entz recently posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, of his excitement by posting an emoji of five dogs.

Of course, no one knows what he meant but there were a flurry of commitments coming into the Fresno State football office recently.

One of those commitments was E.J. Warner, the son of Super Bowl-winning and Pro Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner.

EJ Warner pledged his commitment after he put his name in the transfer portal. He’s officially a Bulldog.

Kurt Warner showed his excitement for his son by posting “I’m so pumped... It’s Go Time! #GoBulldogs.”

Warner comes over to Fresno State by way of Rice. He also played at Temple.

Warner is listed at 6-feet and made his college football debut while playing for Temple in 2022 where he finished two seasons there completing 524 passes for 6,104 yards and 41 touchdowns.

He transferred to Rice and played one season for the Owls and passed for 2,710 yards and 17 touchdowns against 13 interceptions.

It is expected that he will compete for the starting job with Jayden Mandal and Joshua Wood.
