A man was treated for multiple cuts sustained during a disturbance at a Fresno apartment Tuesday morning, police said.

The matter unfolded near Thorne and Dakota avenues around 8 a.m.

Fresno police Lt. Larry Bowlan said a man in his 40s was cut multiple times in the upper body during a dispute with a man in his late 20s.

The victim and suspect know each other, Bowlan said.

After an argument between the two, the men were preparing to fight physically. The suspect produced a knife and began swinging it at the victim, Bowlan said.

The victim was treated for his cuts at a hospital.

The suspect was still at the scene and was arrested by officers.
