Argument between cousins turns violent in Fresno. Woman arrested after stabbing
A man was treated at a hospital after a family disturbance turned into a stabbing early Tuesday in Fresno.
Officers responded to the stabbing near Modoc Street and Strother Avenue around 3:45 a.m., Fresno police spokesperson Lt. Larry Bowlan said.
At the scene, officers found a man in his 50s who had been stabbed in the chest. He was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition, Bowlan said.
The matter began as an argument between the victim and a woman, who are cousins, over a possible theft.
Bowlan said the woman, in her 60s, stabbed the victim once.
Officers found her walking down the street afterward and arrested her without incident.
The knife was found at the scene, Bowlan said.
