Arrest warrant issued in fatal stabbing of man in Fresno. Suspect was a roommate

An arrest warrant has been issued in a fatal stabbing at a home in Fresno on Tuesday.

The Fresno Police Department is investigating the death as a murder and looking for 45-year-old London Smith, who is suspected of stabbing his roommate following an argument at the residence near Hedges and Wheeler avenues, the department said in an update Wednesday.

Officers responded to the home just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and found a 41-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene and then taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police on Wednesday identified the victim as Aubrey Galloway.

According to detectives, Smith stabbed Galloway multiple times during an argument at the home. Smith then left, walking east on Hedges. Police conducted an “extensive search,” but officers have been unable to locate him.

A warrant has since been issued and homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the police department. That can be done anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 559-498-STOP (7867) or by calling 559-621-2516 or 559-621-2441.
