Handcuffs with fingerprint cards

A Riverdale High track and field coach has been arrested on suspicion of sex crimes with a minor, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Martin Munguia, 31, of Lemoore is accused of arranging to meet with a minor for sexual purposes.

A deputy was alerted to inappropriate, sexual in nature, digital messages between Munguia and a teenage student. Deputies said Munguia is also a computer technician.

As a result, the deputy arrested Mungia.

The Riverdale school district, located west of Highway 41 north of Lemoore, is cooperating with the investigation and placed Munguia on paid administrative leave.

Investigators believe Munguia may have had inappropriate contact with other children due to his access to them.

Munguia’s bail was set at $30,000. He has since bonded.

Anyone with information or believes they may be a victim to contact Detective O’Leary at 559-569-7586.
