Update: Body found by passer-by ID’d by Fresno coroner. Detectives say death not natural
Deputies are investigating a body found near a Fresno County orchard on Wednesday morning.
A passer-by spotted the body at 7 a.m. near Chateau Fresno Avenue and Kearney Boulevard and immediately called authorities about the findings.
Deputies arrived and found the body and deemed it suspicious.
The victim was identified as 54-year-old Billy Wayne Sinisgalli.
Detectives and the coroner determined Sinisgalli’s death was not from natural causes. Detectives are working to learn more about Sinisgalli, in hopes of speaking with those who knew him and what may have led to his death.
Streets, such as Garfield, Kearney and Monroe were blocked off as detectives continued to investigate.
