Man injured in shooting at Fresno apartment complex, police say. Suspect fled scene

A man was shot Friday night at an apartment complex in Fresno.

Police said the shooting happened at 11:40 p.m. in the 4800 block of N. Recreation Avenue. Officers arrived and found a man who had a gunshot wound to his upper body.

The man was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition Saturday afternoon.

Police said several shell casings were located near where the victim was located. Strike marks from the shooting was found on the wall of an apartment.

The motive for the shooting is unknown, police said.

Police don’t have a suspect description.
