Two sitting in vehicle hit by gunfire. Fresno police say they drove to In-N-Out for help
Two people were shot Saturday night while sitting in a vehicle before driving to In-N-Out to call for help, police said.
Officers went to the In-N-Out, located at Blackstone and Swift avenues just before 9:30 p.m. and found a man and a woman in their 20s with gunshot wounds after being struck at Del Mar Avenue and E. Griffith Way, Fresno police Lt. Leslie Williams said.
The man was struck multiple times in his upper body and the woman was struck in the lower body. Both were taken to a local hospital and were in stable condition.
Police don’t have a suspect description as officers and detectives were investigating both crime scenes.
Williams said officers are interviewing witnesses at the Del Mar location to piece together what led up to the shooting.
It is unknown why the couple were sitting in the vehicle before the shooting took place.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 559-621-7000.
