Two men injured during a birthday party, drive-by shooting at Fresno home, police say

Two men are in the hospital Sunday morning after they were shot in Fresno.

Police said the shooting happened just after 2 a.m. at Normal Avenue and Angus Street.

Officers were told two men were shot, but self transported to a local hospital before emergency personnel arrived.

One victim is in stable condition and the other was in surgery, Lt. Charlie Chamalbide said.

His condition is unknown.

The motive to the shooting is also unknown, but it happened during a birthday party, Chamalbide said.

The two victims were outside when the shooter opened fire. A number of rounds were fired and evidence markers were placed on the roadway as detectives investigate, Chamalbide said.

A silver vehicle was seen leaving the scene.
