Man killed by gunfire inside northwest Fresno home, police say. He was shot at least once
A 26-year-old man was killed in a shooting inside a northwest Fresno home late Tuesday, police said.
Officers arrived at the home in the 5700 block of Cromwell Avenue, which is north of Alluvial Avenue and west of Milburn Avenue, to find the man with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body about 10 p.m., Lt. Brian Valles said.
Emergency personnel rendered aid, but the man died at the scene inside the home, police said.
UPDATE: Suspect arrested by police and victim identified
Officers spoke with all of the people inside the home during the shooting, which included about five people, Valles said.
“We believe everyone who was involved is here,” Valles said outside the home on Tuesday. “Residents in the neighborhood should know it appears to be an isolated incident.”
It remained immediately unclear if police had made an arrest while homicide detectives investigated the incident.
