Sex offender sought by Fresno County Sheriff’s Office turns himself in

UPDATE: A registered sex offender sought by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office turned himself in Monday night.

Len Gene Taylor, 68, was booked into jail on a charge of failing to update information. He was released Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said. His next court date is Dec. 21.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a registered sex offender who is out of compliance.

Len Gene Taylor, 68, is a registered sex offender who has been convicted of rape. The sheriff’s office said he has not registered his new address with law enforcement, as required by law.

Taylor’s last known address was 447 W. Swift Ave. near Fruit and Ashlan avenues. He is described to be 5-foot-9 and 240 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a snake on his back.
