NorCal man tried transporting 4,000 fentanyl pills through Fresno County, sheriffs say
A Northern California man has been arrested for transporting around 4,000 fentanyl pills through Fresno County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Victor Corella, a 25-year-old from Woodland, was arrested and booked into into the Fresno County Jail for possession of drugs for sale.
At around 1 p.m. Tuesday, detectives patrolled the area of Interstate 5 and Highway 198 in Coalinga when they stopped Corella. A K-9 officer was alerted to the odor of narcotics inside of the vehicle.
Officers searched the vehicle and found around 4,000 counterfeit Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills Corella’s car.
These blue pills are known to contain a high concentration of fentanyl and are stamped with a capital ‘M’ and the number 30.
