Harley rider injured in hit-and-run in Fresno County. Here’s who the CHP is looking for

This story has been updated with new information from the CHP – notably that the motorcycle rider was injured, not killed as originally reported.

A 68-year-old Harley-Davidson rider was injured early Monday southwest of Fresno when he was rear-ended by a pickup driver who sped away from the crash, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash took place about 5:40 a.m., as Leonard Matsuyama of Fresno was westbound on Jensen Avenue, east of Brawley Avenue, on his 2014 Harley. He was rear-ended by a pickup driver. Matsuyama was trapped under the truck and dragged for more than 100 feet. He sustained major, non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The CHP asked for help finding the pickup driver, who was possibly in a Ford-F150, and asked witnesses to call 559-705-2200.
