Woman killed after car is T-boned by utility truck in Fresno County
A woman was killed from a T-bone collision Friday afternoon in Fresno County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 1 p.m., CHP received reports of a crash between a Honda Civic and a utility box truck at the intersection of Temperance and Central avenues.
According to CHP, an unidentified woman was driving north on Temperance and approaching a stop sign at the intersection at Central.
Meanwhile, a Isuzu utility box truck was traveling east on Central, approaching Temperance with the right of way.
The driver of the Civic failed to make a complete stop for the stop sign and drove directly into the path of the truck, CHP said.
]The truck struck the driver-side of the Civic and caused major damage.
The driver of the Civic was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition, a front-seat passenger inside the Civic suffered major injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
The driver and a passenger inside the utility truck were not injured in the crash.
CHP said neither alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.
