Suspects in a BMW fire shots at two young men near a Fresno gas station, police say

Two men were shot Saturday evening following a disturbance near a gas station in east-central Fresno, police said.

Officers arrived around 8 p.m. to Clovis and Shields avenues and found two young men ages 18-21 with gunshot wounds inside a Chevrolet Silverado, located across the street from a Valero gas station.

One man was shot in the neck and twice in the upper body. The other man was shot in the upper body.

Both were listed in serious condition at Community Regional Medical Center, according to police.

Lt. Anthony DeWall said the victims were involved in a disturbance with the suspects in a white BMW sedan.

A confrontation took place, DeWall said, and one of the suspects allegedly fired rounds into the Silverado.

The victims’ vehicle collided with another vehicle that was turning into southbound Clovis Avenue and stopped at the west portion of the intersection.

Investigators were looking for surveillance camera footage and ask anyone with information to call police at 559-621-7000.
