Car pulls up and opens fire on a man in southeast Fresno, police say

A man was struck in the head during a shooting in southeast Fresno on Saturday night, police said.

Lt. Tim Tietjen said a passenger in a black sedan opened fire on the passenger in the other car, striking the man in the head around 10:30 p.m. in the intersection at Tulare and Maple avenues.

The man was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Authorities were canvassing the area for surveillance video and ask witnesses to contact Fresno police at 559-621-7000.
