Fresno County sheriff’s detectives investigate fatal shooting of man in San Joaquin
Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in San Joaquin Tuesday night.
The homicide took place near Sixth and Nevada streets about 8:30 p.m., according to a sheriff’s spokesman. Emergency workers who arrived at the scene were unable to revive the victim, identified as Yordy Urbieta, 19.
Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said emergency workers and deputies were hindered at the scene by a “raucous crowd of about 100 people who were not following orders to make room for first responders.”
