Tables turned: Selma man calls police on girlfriend, gets booked for sawed-off shotgun
Selma police reported arresting a man armed with a sawed-off shotgun and methamphetamine Tuesday after a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.
He was identified as Carlos Jimenez, 52,
Chief Joe Gomez said the arrest took place in the 3900 block of South Golden State Boulevard after Jimenez called police and said his girlfriend was going to have her adult son beat him up. But the girlfriend said she saw no reason for Jimenez to be worried, since he carried a sawed-off shotgun in his backpack.
Officers searched the backpack and did find the loaded shotgun inside. They also found methamphetamine in his wallet.
He was served with an emergency protective order and booked on weapons and drug charges.
