Fresno police searching for killer who left father of five shot dead in his car

Fresno police on Friday confirmed a father of five was the man found shot dead in a car near downtown Fresno on Thursday.

Richard Molina, Jr, 36, had been shot in the upper body and was dead by the time officers found him around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Diana Street and White Avenue.

Police believe Molina was shot early in the morning and detectives are continuing their investigation. No arrests have been made so far in the suspected murder.

Molina’s death is the 11th homicide in the city this year.
