Madera woman gets 3-year prison term in fatal dog attack

A Madera woman has been sentenced to three years in prison after her dog killed a man in an attack that took place in the Fresno River area, police reported.

Heather Anglin was arrested in December after Lasaro Macedo died from injuries inflicted by the dog in November. The attack took place near the 1400 block of East Yosemite Avenue.

Anglin pled guilty Friday.

Anglin and Aaron Daniels were arrested on manslaughter charges after a police investigation determined that the pair were responsible for the care and control of the dog. Charges against Daniels in the case were dismissed, according to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.
