The Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified a 37-year-old man who drowned Sunday afternoon in the Kings River.

He was Sandeep Singh of Fresno.

Deputies responded around 3 p.m. to Winton Park where Singh went under water in the river.

Two people found Singh and pulled him to shore.

First responders administered CPR before Singh was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Deputies said he was not wearing a life jacket and had been drinking alcohol prior to entering the water.

It was the fifth drowning in a Fresno County waterway (four river, one lake) in 2025, deputies said.
