Passer-by calls for help after seeing man impaled on spiked fence in Fresno, police say

The body of a man was found impaled on a spiked fence in Fresno on Wednesday.

A passer-by saw the body at Olive and Winery avenues and reported it to police.

The victim was 68 years old, police said.

Police said the man had attempted to climb the fence before slipping. The spike along the top of the fence pierced his calf.

The significant injury caused the victim to bleed to death before authorities arrived.

Police ruled out anything suspicious related to his death.

The identity of the victim has not been released pending next of kin.
