20-year-old man killed in Fresno County in possible accidental shooting, police say

A 20-year-old was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Fresno County.

Officers with the Kingsburg Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Orange Street at 2:42 a.m. and found the man with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and later died.

Police said officers interviewed people at the home and it appears the shooting might have been accidental.

Kingsburg Police requested assistance from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputies’ Crime Scene Unit responded to the shooting and took over the investigation.

Detectives will be conducting further interviews to get more information of what occurred prior to the shooting, police said.
