Multiple full-time and part-time positions are available across a variety of departments, including utilities, public works and informational services.

Airport public safety supervisor | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Airports
  • Salary: $6,910 to $9,256 per month

The airport public safety supervisor supervises, trains and directs subordinates in the Airport Public Safety Division, engaged in aviation security, law enforcement and aircraft rescue and firefighting operations.

People in this position supervise and perform the full range of airport public safety functions consisting of airport security, law enforcement, fire safety, emergency medical first responders, aircraft rescue and firefighting and Transportation Safety Administration security measures, as well as other applicable emergency airport procedures.

Digital forensics analyst | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Police
  • Salary: $7,546 to $9,173 per month

The digital forensics analyst performs highly specialized physical evidence examinations related to computer and digital forensics; note taking and report writing and courtroom testimony.

The digital forensics analyst also conducts digital forensic activities to uncover digital data, examine the information and preserve the information for evidence.

Environmental compliance inspector | Permanent, full-time

  • Salary: $5,388 to $6,419 per month

The environmental compliance inspector enforces the provisions of industrial wastewater discharge permits, city ordinances and applicable rules and regulations to ensure compliance with a variety of local, state and federal requirements.

Licensed professional engineer | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Capital Projects
  • Salary: $11,353 to $13,800 per month

The licensed professional engineer supervises, coordinates and evaluates the performance of pre-professional engineers and technical engineering staff engaged in civil, electrical, fire protection, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, sanitary or traffic engineering.

Planner III | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Planning and Development
  • Salary: $6,266 to $7,590 per month

The planner compiles, analyzes and interprets data related to more complex social, economic, population and land use trends.

The planner also prepares written reports on the most complex planning matters and elements of the general plan, and provides lead direction and training to assigned staff.

Water treatment plant operator | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Public Utilities
  • Salary: $5,779 to $7,027 per month

The water treatment plant operator performs the most advanced functions related to the maintenance and repair of equipment at water treatment and production facilities.

The operator may be assigned to work any shift and required to work holidays and weekends.

Plans and permit technician | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Planning and Developing
  • Salary: $5,432 to $6,533 per month

The plans and permit technician’s duties may include receiving building plans, reviewing them and calculating fees for submitted plans based on appropriate standards such as type of construction and square footage or evaluated cost.

The technician maintains, updates and files building plans and documents, and checks building plans and issues building permits for minor residential additions and alternations utilizing applicable standard details and design aids.

Other duties include responding to public inquiries regarding the status of submitted projects and providing general information.

Senior human resources/risk analyst | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Personnel Services
  • Salary: $7,725 to $10,882 per month

The senior human resources/risk analyst performs a variety of advanced and complex analytical assignments, which require extensive technical knowledge, initiative, discretion and judgment.

The analyst serves as a professional advisor and participates in the development, administration and coordination of program strategies. This position may supervise both permanent and temporary staff.

Accountant auditor II | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Finance
  • Salary: $5,450 to $6,560 per month

The accountant auditor performs professional accounting work in maintaining, reconciling and auditing accounts, as well as preparing a variety of accounting reports and analyses.

The accountant auditor may independently maintain a variety of accounts or participate in the work of a unit engaged in collection and recording financial information.
