Update: 19-year-old Camaro driver killed in fiery solo-vehicle crash in Fresno identified

A 19-year-old was killed early Saturday and two others were injured when the vehicle rolled over.

The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. in the area of North and Elm avenues.

When officers arrived they found a car that rolled over and was on fire. Three men were inside the Camaro.

The 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead. The two passengers were taken to Community Regional Medical Center for moderate injuries, Fresno Police Lt. Henry Garcia III said.

The crash was investigated by the Collision Reconstruction Unit but the cause had not been determined.

It’s unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The victim was identified Monday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Tristin Castro, 19, of Fresno.
