The older woman killed in a crash that also injured her husband in rural Fresno County was named Friday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

A truck hauling grapes pulled out in front of a Honda HRV, causing a crash that killed 70-year-old passenger Agustina Cano De Arambula of San Joaquin, the coroner confirmed.

The big rig was leaving a grape vineyard about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday as the 32-year-old driver was turning left onto Manning near Yuba avenues east of San Joaquin, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Honda, which was driven by the 72-year-old husband of Cano De Arambula, hit the rear axle of the big rig, causing serious injuries to the older couple, CHP said.

The woman was flown to Community Regional Medical Center where she later died, CHP said.

No alcohol or drugs were suspected of playing a part in the crash.
