Worker dies after contacting electrical wires, Fresno sheriff says. Manning Avenue closed

A worker died Wednesday morning when they were electrocuted near Parlier, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The incident took place shortly after 9 a.m. near the intersection of Bethel and Manning avenues.

FCSO deputies and PG&E workers were the first to arrive and initial reports were that the worker, in an elevated boom, may have made contact with electrical wires.

Parlier police took over the case.

Manning Avenue was shut down after the incident.
