Man who died in Fresno crash into parked truck identified by coroner. He died at scene

A 26-year-old man killed in a crash into a parked truck south of Fresno was identified Monday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The collision about 5:45 a.m. Sunday killed Edgar Maravilla when his Honda Accord drifted to the right side of the road and into the truck and trailer, the California Highway Patrol said.

He was going south on Cherry Avenue south of Lincoln Avenue before the fatal crash, CHP said.

Maravilla died at the scene. CHP said it was not immediately known whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the incident.
