A man riding a Razor scooter on Highway 99 in Fresno on Wednesday was killed after he was hit at least three times by cars, the California Highway Patrol said.

The 22-year-old man who has not been identified was headed north on Highway 99 in the far right lane near the white line at about 12:50 a.m., CHP said.

He was near the Fresno Street exit when a 34-year-old Fresno man in a 2013 Dodge Caravan struck the rider from behind, throwing him to the ground, CHP said.
