Vehicle crash near Millerton Lake north of Fresno causes traffic problems. Hazmat on scene

UPDATE: The California Highway Patrol expects the roadway to open at midnight.

ORIGINAL STORY: A non-injury traffic collision Wednesday afternoon caused traffic to be back up in both directions near the entrance to Millerton Lake in Fresno County.

California Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Salas said traffic from the south of the scene on Millerton Road was being turned around at the Shell Gas Station in Friant at North Fork Road, and to the north of the scene at Table Mountain Casino.

Salas said a vehicle crashed into a power pole around 2 p.m. that caused power lines to come down; it also caused a fluid to spill.
