Coroner identifies woman struck and killed late on Fresno road. The driver called police
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified a pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle late Friday in Fresno.
She was Bhupinder Gill, 64, of Fresno.
Gill was struck by a vehicle at 11:46 p.m. at North Bryan and West Fairmont avenues, south of West Shaw Avenue.
Police said the driver involved called police to say he had hit Gill on the roadway there.
Gill was taken by ambulance to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative, police said.
