18-year-old Clovis man identified in fatal crash that closed Shaw Avenue Monday morning
An 18-year-old Clovis man has been identified as the victim in a fatal car hit-and-run crash that closed a portion of Shaw Avenue on Monday morning.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office confirmed Monday afternoon that Andres Ramirez Orozco was the man killed in the crash, which happened on Shaw Avenue near Millbrook around 1 a.m.
According to police, Ramirez Orozco and another driver were on Shaw approaching Millbrook when a third vehicle pulled in front them, causing their cars to swerve and then collide.
Ramirez Orozco’s Volkswagen Jetta crashed into a tree on the south side of Shaw near 7th Street.
The third car, described by police as an early 2000s white Chevy Malibu or Impala, did not stop following the crash, police said.
