Firefighters battle wildland fire just outside of Clovis. High winds posing a problem
Fire crews were battling a wildland fire just outside of Fresno along Tollhouse Road on Monday afternoon.
According to Fresno Cal Fire, the fire, dubbed the Tollhouse Incident, had grown to 25 acres with potential to grow to 100 in the area of Tollhouse Road between Shepherd Avenue and the Friant Kern Canal.
Cal Fire said that the fire was burning on flat terrain with light flashy fuels and high winds had been making it difficult to contain the blaze.
Cal Fire reported the forward progress of the fire had been stopped just before 4 p.m.
