Roads reopen after firefighters bring Vulcan Fire in Fresno County to 50% containment

Firefighters working overnight brought the Vulcan Fire burning along Friant Road north of Fresno to 50% containment Monday morning.

Roadways closed for the firefighting effort were reopened.

The fire burned 145 acres, Cal Fire reported Monday morning. It erupted around 6 p.m. Sunday.

No information about the cause of the wildfire was immediately released.
