The best brunch in California is served at a food truck, Yelp says. Here’s why

The top brunch food in California is served at a food truck, according to Yelp’s list of the “top reviewed brunch spot in every state.”

And Yelp reviewers have been raving about the breakfast burritos served at Curbgrill in Burbank.

“Amazing no frill breakfast burritos! Fresh ingredients and perfectly rolled burrito stuffed with plenty of made to order meat, eggs and hash potatoes. Their green salsa in incredible,” one reviewer wrote.

The father-and-son duo offer three different burritos, including the favorite, the special and the custom. All burritos cost $12 and are made with hash browns, eggs, cheese and come with salsa. Customers can choose from different meats including bacon, sausage, steak or chorizo.

Curbgrill also offers a breakfast quesadilla, croissants and a breakfast bowl as breakfast options.

The smash burger is a popular lunch option at Curbgrill.

“It was cooked perfectly, cheese melting over the patties, soft bun, tangy house sauce, crisp pickles, and grilled onions,” another reviewer wrote.

One reviewer recommended placing an order ahead of time before the food truck sells out of food. The truck is open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day except Wednesday, when it closes at noon.

Yelp released its list on Monday, Sept. 19. To find the best brunch spots in every state, Yelp looked at U.S. businesses in the breakfast and brunch category, then ranked each place based on the total volume and ratings of reviews.

Burbank is about 15 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Curbgrill was also recognized in Yelp’s July list of “Top Places to Eat in LA and the San Fernando Valley.”
