California has six of the best new restaurants, Bon Appetit says. Here’s the list

California is home to six of the best new restaurants, according to a list released by Bon Appetit on Sept. 8.

The annual list features 50 of the best new restaurants in 2022, and it’s broken down into four regions: Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West.

Restaurants across California were recognized, including in San Diego, Oakland, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

These top spots include “fermentation-driven party food,” Korean American dishes, Filipino plates, pan-style pizza and Vietnamese cuisine with a French influence.
