A new building is under construction at the busy intersection of Shields and Millbrook avenues.

What is it?

It will be home to several businesses. The only one confirmed so far is a Starbucks that will have a full cafe and a drive-thru.

Several other spaces are available for rent and more eateries are expected to open there, according to Jay Virk, the president and CEO of the Bottom Line Group, which is developing the property.

He said he’s in negotiations with several restaurants that could become renters.

“We’re working with a wing tenant. We’re working an ice cream tenant, and we still have space available for medical, retail, restaurants,” he said.

About 5,000 square feet of space is available left to lease. The building will be ready for move in by February.

The building is on the southeast corner, across the street from the former Valley Children’s Hospital before it moved to Madera.

Bottom Line Group is the same developer planning to build a five-story Hyatt Place hotel with a rooftop restaurant and bar northwest of Herndon and Clovis avenues, just north of Highway 168. It’s also working on an extension of the Sunrise Pavillion Development near Highway 168 and Temperance Avenue that will be anchored by a 7-Eleven and have a Kuppa Joy, Chipotle with a drive-thru, an express version of Phoenician Garden Mediterranean Bar and Grill and more.
