‘We couldn’t be more excited.’ Check out opening day at Fresno’s new Raising Cane’s

The first Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant opened in Fresno on Tuesday with plenty of hoopla.

After an 8 a.m. ribbon cutting, the long-awaited restaurant at southwest corner of North Blackstone Avenue and El Paso Avenue officially opened.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring our one love, which is our Chicken Tender, to Fresno,” said Chris Zygler, Raising Cane’s regional vice president of operations.

Zygler said the restaurant is the fifth in the Central Valley and the 62nd in California. “Today we actually have three restaurants opening in the state as a brand and seven across the company, which is the most restaurants we’ve ever opened in a single day,” Zygler said.

The Fresno restaurant is employing around 200 people and 14 managers, Zygler said. The company’s five locations combined employ around 1,000 people.

Get a peek at the celebratory atmosphere – including chanting staff and a visit from Miss Clovis and Miss Clovis Teen – in the video above.
